Stampin' Up Oh So Eclectic Daisy Scrapbook page

Once  a month I have a big class, it's called Super Saturday! We make scrapbook pages and cards, and laugh and have the best time.
I wanted to share one of the pages we made this month. I truly is one of my favorite scrapbook pages.

This page turned out so pretty. I think it would be perfect for just about any type of photo, a family, one 5x7, or children, or a couple. I used the new Pine wood Planks embossing folder. I spritzed it first with water then ran it through the Big Shot. The Pine Wood Plank is in Crumb Cake, it is big enough I ran it through then lined it up, and ran it through again to finish off the panel. I then used the Triple Banner Punch to make "notches" on the edge, so it resemble more of a wood fence. I then daubed the edges in Soft Suede ink. Here is a closer picture

The embossing on this folder is realistic, it really looks good in real life. :)  The butterflies were cut in So Saffron and sponged in Berry Burst, soooo pretty!! I used the Timeless textures to give the spray of dots. Don't you just LOVE that sentiment?? It's from the stamp set Bookcase Builder. LOVE IT!!

I used the Daisy Punch and made 3 layers of  So Saffron, I daubed the center and used a Glitter Enamel dot in the center. I  used the Oh so Eclectic Bundle to make the stamped flowers.

Here's the other side of the page. I hope you enjoyed this and feel inspired.

Here's the supplies I used, have a great day!

Thoughtful Banners Baby card

In my Sweet and Simple card class we have been doing a series on punch art. Punch art is a great way to make those punches go even farther. I think this card is cute and precious!!  See what you think.

How cute is that right!! It's a perfect combination of textures- the new Ruffled Embossing folder, the doilie and the metallic shapes on the wheels!! The new Ruffled embossing folder is a show stopper!! It honestly transforms the paper, it literally looks like it's shaded. When I embossed my paper, I spritzed the paper just a little before running it through the big shot. Spritzing the paper, lets it 'bend' and that's how it embosses so deeply. VERY COOL!!

Baby carriage instructions:
  1. Punch out 1 circle using the 2 1/4" circle punch in So Saffron
  2. Cut that circle in half, and take one of the half circles and cut that into half again (so you have 3 pieces)
  3. Daub all edges in So Saffron
  4. For the wheels I used 3/4" circle punch in Smoky Slate, edges daubed with Smoky Slate
  5. I used Whisper White Baker's twine for the bow
  6. I cut a doilie in half and scrunched it up, like it's ruffled too!
I hope you enjoyed this sweet card.

Stampin' Up Merry Mistletoe and Be Merry Designer Series Christmas card

I wanted to share this really pretty and elegant Christmas card I made for an upcoming swap. I know it's July, and if your weather is like Texas, then maybe this is the card that you need to get your mind off this hot weather!! :)  July oddly enough is a time many people start thinking of Christmas. This month at our demonstrator meeting we are swapping Christmas in July cards. For my card I combined the New Merry Mistletoe stamp set along with one of my favorites, the Star of Light stamp. I hope you like it!!!

I honestly LOVE how this turned out. I used the sketch  #294 from Freshly Made Sketches.

I love the Falling Softly embossing folder!  It just adds the right amount of detail.

Did you notice the faceted gem in the center? I also added a little bit of Silver thread behind the star. I continued the star theme with the new Be Merry Designer Series Paper.  In this card I basically used a silver and star theme, what could be better for Christmas.  If you're like me, Christmas gets here before I know it, so this year I am gonna get a head start!

Thanks for stopping by today! Here are the products I used, they are all available in the New Catalog in case you want to get started too!! If you need a new catalog email me at jangirlholmes@gmail.com.

Have a great day!!

One in a melon Paper Pumpkin Alternate projects: Watermelon Scrapbook page, treat bag and card

Saturday Series: One in a Melon

I am so excited about this month's Paper Pumpkin!! It's right up my alley! It's really perfect  timing for these hot summer days in Texas, doesn't  some nice cold watermelon sound good?  Yum!!! On Saturday's I like to showcase one product used in several different ways, so I hope you enjoy what I came up with from this month's Paper Pumpkin. I made a scrapbook page and a card-completely different than the provided instructions and a fun treat bag.

First, here's a video from Stampin' Up about this month's Paper Pumpkin.

Now you can see why I was so excited. Well here is what I came up with from my kit.

Are those colors great or what!!

To make this card, I simply cut the  original card in half, and put a mat of Melon Mambo cardstock behind it.  I used the new 2 1/4" circle punch to punch the watermelon rind. I then stamped the watermelon and punched it put as well. I used the circle tag that came in the kit and added the word 'friend' from the Lovely Words thinlits.  Of course the sentiment that came in the kit, was perfect for this card!!  Pretty fun and quick!

Here's the bag I made. This went together in a snap, there was adhesive in place ready to go! I added the pineapple and made my watermelon like I did in my card.  I love the little clothespin, it just finishes it off! What a fun bag!

This is what I put in my bag, a perfect summer gift!!

Here is my scrapbook page!! I just love how it turned out!! I have been scrapbooking since 1996, and have NEVER put tissue paper on a scrapbook page, but it was easy!! I adhered the tissue paper to a piece of Melon Mambo to add stability and I smoothed it out to get the wrinkles out! I was so excited how clean the tissue paper looks! I also used a couple of tags from the Paper Pumpkin kit, to make my title pop and to add a little journaling spot!

I have just fallen in love with the way the tissue paper worked here. I made the watermelons with the tissue paper too!!

I can't wait to put some pictures on this page!!!

I hope you enjoyed my alternate projects I made with this month's Paper Pumpkin. Need info about Paper Pumpkin, click on the Paper Pumpkin icon, on right hand side of my blog!! It's like Christmas every month, a great gift idea for you or someone else!! I send my mom one every month, she loves it!

Have a great day!! Thank you for stopping by today!! Come back soon as I will be posting more regularly, my life has settled down a little!!
